- general counsel and parliamentarian for Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR), and before that in the same role for Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT).
- senior counsel for cybersecurity on OGR, chief counsel for Homeland Security for Chairman Ron Johnson on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC)
- investigative counsel for Ranking Member Tom Coburn on HSGAC.
