UAS innovation: ART!!!

The words AVIATION and ART are rarely used in the same sentence. Aerial photography has become a popular genre, but the fleet of fixed wing and rotor aircraft had limitations due to a number of factors (too large to fly near the object to be photographed, size and sound of the vehicle would alter the scene, etc.)
Uncrewed aerial systems (a/k/a drones) were heralded as being disruptive- instant delivery, surveillance, etc.) The list of UAS’s innovations did not initially include ART. Drones added access to novel perspectives for their range of imagery. The photographic textbooks explain that perspective can give an image distinctiveness by using angles, choice of focal length to increase or decrease the sense of perspective in a scene.
As exemplified by the following EuroNews article, these camera-mounted drones have attained a level of artistic recognition. The beauty, exposed by the unique perspectives a UAS can deliver, is exceptional. The “stick-and-rudder’ skills of these pilots have opened new dimensions to our vision of the world. Their positioning of these aerial lenses is as creative as the expression of a talented brush stroke.
