Press Release – FAA Announces JDA Installation of GBAS equipment at Santa’s Landing Sites with Low Level Precision

WASHINGTON, D.C. – When the FAA Administrator reviewed the OIG’s report about Santa’s high tech sleigh assets and deficiencies, he learned that airsleigh’s cockpit (see above depictions) included a high resolution radar screen and a full suite of GPS navigational instruments. With that knowledge, the Administrator determined that this vehicle would benefit from the locating of NextGen units, Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS), formerly known as LAAS.
JDA Aviation Technology filled with the spirit of Christmas immediately offered to place the GBAS’s at the Santa sites. This requires that all of the JDA staff work in the field from December 22 until December 29; the initial task is to place the GBAS’s at the designated sites and then to remove them.
CONSEQUENTLY, the JDA Journal will not be posted over those dates. The editor, who is no technologist, is good at digging up stories and digging holes for installation of the GBAS units. Ho,Ho, Ho!Share this article:
