We Are Disruptors | Creating a More Equitable and Sustainable Future – Telosa//Archer
Building the City of the Future
The World Needs Disruptors I did send you a copy of the NEOM proposal
While Marc Lore’s contemporaries are focused on the noble feat of racing to space, he’s focused on solving immediate issues that are much closer to home, particularly the growing wealth gap and the inequalities it generates. Funding disruptive ideas that help to solve difficult problems is one of the reasons Marc was an early investor in Archer and it’s also the reason he’s decided to build his own spaceship city – named Telosa. But how did Marc get to where he is, why is he so driven to build an entirely new city from scratch and how does Archer factor into all of this?
A Moonshot Idea Being Brought to Life
Pursuing the biggest and boldest ideas is a way of life for Marc, reflected in his track record as a successful entrepreneur, having started and sold a handful of companies before successfully bringing corporate behemoth, Walmart, into the “age of ecomm.” Marc not only enjoys thinking about moonshot ideas, he’s also demonstrated an uncanny ability to will them into existence.
“Telosa” is the ultimate moonshot. Greek for “highest purpose”, the name is a perfect representation of Marc’s intentions for this multi-decade project – creating a new city in America that sets a global standard for urban living, expands human potential, and becomes a blueprint for future generations. We think ideas like Telosa that are this ambitious, and grounded in intentions so innately good, deserve to be celebrated as they align closely with Archer’s mission and purpose to help create a better, more sustainable future.
Transportation Fit for the City of the Future
So what are the key features Telosa needs in its transportation modalities? Sustainability, accessibility and efficiency. Archer’s eVTOL aircraft will aim to deliver on all three fronts by providing all-electric aerial transportation that is available to Telosa’s residents and efficiently delivers commuters to their intended destinations in a fraction of the drive time it would have taken them in traffic. Archer is proud to be a key transportation partner of Telosa and plans to play an important role in the future of this, and many other, cities.
Building Telosa will be Marc’s most ambitious undertaking yet. If there’s one thing his track record indicates, it’s that we’re all set to bear witness to the realization of his most disruptive idea to date – and the world will be better for it.
