2015 is coming to an end… Time to review the FAA’s Regulatory Agenda!
One must assume that the proposed move of this authority is because the FAA is underworked and the military is not good at regulating commercial use of space?
Helping communities to re-review the new ATC architecture sounds good, but do the neighborhoods need more than DIY kits to arrive at a win/win solution?
If communities were empowered with technical competence, a better path to better ATC paths would be more attainable.
Calling this Congressional event a “hearing” is a bit of a misnomer.
A more precise answer by the DoT might have mentioned that on May 11, the FAA issued the Pilot Fitness Aviation Rulemaking Committee Charter.
The July 15 letter from Senators Flake and McCain further confuse the executives entrusted with managing the FAA.
