Airports are incredibly busy places. Spend some time in a central place within a terminal and you will see some of the community’s, and even the nation’s most important business, political and entertainment figures.
You also have an opportunity to see people who are not greeted with paparazzis, official welcomers or limousines, but who are exceedingly important to the people of this nation—our service men and women. They travel a lot to and from their duty stations within the country and around the world; they do so with inadequate recognition.
In that context, we give great credit to Jim Cheek, Chairman, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Board and Rob Wigington, President & CEO for creation of a new USO Service Center at the airport. The new center will offer entertainment, computer services, a children’s play area and snacks for service personnel. For a weary soldier, sailor, airman or marine, this new BNA facility will offer these important sources of relief.
Great initiative, Nashville!Share this article:
