Several months ago, the record of the son of one of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee’s most powerful and effective chair was analyzed. The indications were then and continue now to be that the new Chairman Shuster will be an able leader with a capacity to create a bipartisan consensus and a tendency to define broad Congressional policy rather than try to micromanage the agency. Those judgments were based on specific legislative records tracked in detail in that earlier post.
