There has been recent news about the future of air cargo and the various requirements that such a development may have on aviation safety. This forum will provide an even further over-the-horizon view of how future cargo will be used and how that infrastructure will be financed.

On Wednesday, August 8 starting at 5:15 pm EDT, the Transportation Research Board will be hosting an interesting presentation and panel discussion on Air Freight Policy. The featured speakers are Sandra Rosenbloom, Director at the Urban Institute and recent author of a Rand Study entitled A Federal Role in Freight Planning and Finance and Jack Basso, the Chief Operating Officer of the American Association of State Transportation Officials. The discussion will be moderated by Jack Wells, the DoT Chief Economist. He will also discuss the recent NCFRP report on Dedicated Revenue Mechanisms for Freight Transportation Investment.

For details about the event go to the TRF website.
