One can never be certain, for political/legislative announcements are filled with code words:

From the House of Representatives: HJ Resolution 90 passed 10/10/13:

  • H.J.Res.90 provides immediate funding for the Federal Aviation Administration at the same rate and under the same conditions as in effect at the end of the just completed fiscal year. Funds are available until another appropriation bill (such as regular bill or CR) is enacted for these operations or December 15, 2013.

From the US Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee website:

  • Chairman John D. (Jay) Rockefeller today issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a bill to fund the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), H.J. Res. 90, as part of an attempt to fund the federal government for Fiscal Year 2014 in a piecemeal fashion: “I agree that the FAA should be funded immediately, along with all of our other agencies. The Senate passed a clean continuing resolution to do this – one that a majority of the House supports – and I believe the House should vote on it today so we can resume the critically important work of our entire federal government.”

Hopefully the professionals who work for the FAA may be able to return to their jobs soon!
