The fabric of aviation is quite literally enriched by its history. The vividness of our roots is further enhanced by the fact that there are folks alive at the time of Kill Devil Hills and by the existence of the progeny of our pioneers. Boeing celebrated those wonderful aspects of this industry’s heritage in an event described by the company blogger, Randy Tinseth. The evening speakers emphasized the individual characters and their personal strength in getting this business off of the ground. The names present included the descendants of Boeing, Douglas, McDonnell, Kindelberger and Wright. Kind of a living museum.
