Obituary: Calvin Davison, D.C. lawyer, dies at 81
One of the Deans of the CAB bar has passed. Mr. Davison was the lawyer for many of the major airlines–Pan American, Eastern, Delta, Continental, Alaska Airlines and Western Airlines. As their counsel he appeared in many rate and route proceedings that defined the economic regulatory regime. He was also general counsel to the Commuter (Regional) Airline Association and helped this class of carrier navigate the gradual movement of old mainline small markets to the secondary level of operators.
Mr. Davison was an eloquent writer and a knowledgeable advocate. Though he had not practiced recently, his passing is a loss to the aviation bar. Our condolences to his familyShare this article:
