Thomas E. Stuckey

VP Business and Commercial Aviation Solutions

Before joining JDA Tom Stuckey worked for the FAA were his last position was Manager of the Flight Standards Division, Southwest Region, a position he has held since December 1993.

Tom previously served as Acting Director, Flight Standards Service, Washington, DC, from January 1997 to December 1998. He was responsible for 9 Flight Standards Regional Offices and 110 Field Offices worldwide. This included over 5,000 employees and a budget of over $500 million.

Tom also previously held the position of Manager of Flight Standards Division, Alaska Region from 1990-1993. He entered the FAA's Senior Executive Service on September 8, 1990. Tom began his FAA career in 1976 and held a variety of positions, including 6 years as an Aviation Safety Inspector, and later as Manager of the Baton Rouge Flight Standards District Office.

Additionally, Tom served a five-year tour in FAA Headquarters, Washington, DC, from December 1982 to December 1987, where he had three different assignments. The last assignment was that of Manager of the Project Development Branch, which had the responsibility for writing the Federal Aviation Regulations.

He holds an airline transport certificate, with several type-ratings in large and turbo-jet aircraft. Tom graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Aviation and has completed graduate studies in Human Relations and Supervision. His professional career has included a variety of aviation positions prior to joining the FAA, which included three years with a scheduled airline, as chief pilot and flight instructor.
